chuuni 中二, 厨ニ, Meaning in Japanese

In English, chuuni is an abbreviation of chuunibyou 中二病, "middle-school second-year syndrome," generally referring to someone acts and talks like they live in a fantasy game or manga, anime world, with magic, evil organizations, and stuff like that.

In Japanese, chuuni 中二 is also an abbreviation of the school year chuugaku ninen 中学二年, "middle-school, second-year." It refers to the syndrome when spelled chuuni 厨ニ.
